I consider myself a ‘Jane of all trades’ having had a major career in the film and tv business for over 20 years as a producer and production manager of everything ranging from short films to feature length movies and major tv series productions.
Throughout my 20 year career, I was a board member on a number of Film related Non-profit organizations including but not limited to:
*The Winnipeg Film Group (Film Coop)
*Manitoba Motion Industry Association (former Vice President)
*Vancouver Women in Film & Video
*Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television (Producer Member)
*Director’s Guild of Canada (Production Manager Member)
During that time, I honoured my interest in natural health care by getting my Certification as an Aromatherapist.
I extended my learning to nutrition and took, among many courses and workshops, the FUNdamentals of Raw Food and the Science of Raw Food Nutrition with the wonderful folks of Living Light Institute of Raw Food teachings in Fort Bragg, California. I have also studied under several other raw food chefs and Experts such as the wonderful Raw Family tribe! For a period of time, I explored my interest in wild mushroom foraging by becoming a member of the Vancouver Mycological Society. I have my Food Safe Level I Certificate.
Since moving to Victoria, I have embarked on a number of new paths as follows:
*Currently a Board Secretary Member of Abbeyfield House St. Peters Seniors Residence – in charge of web development, etc.
*2013 Graduate of the Web Foundations Course at Camosun College (July 2013)
(trained in Photoshop for Web page design, Dreamweaver for CSS and HTML coding,
Wordpress Web Development, and Social Media Applications)
*2013 Graduate of the MS Office Fast Track Course at Camosun College
